Pakistan Election Results 2024: The results of the general elections held in Pakistan have come before everyone. However, even after 10 days it is not clear which party is forming the government. If we look at the current situation, PML-N and PPP are leading in the race to form the government. However, there is no consensus on many issues between them. This is the reason why the meeting held between them on Saturday was not very effective.
Amidst the political turmoil, it was told on Sunday (February 18) that the two parties are not able to reach a decision on power sharing, but both the parties are ready to discuss the issues. The next meeting of PML-N and PPP is scheduled to be held on Monday.
Nawaz Sharif ruled himself out of the PM race
Amidst the ongoing efforts to form the government, former Prime Minister and veteran PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif has distanced himself from the PM race. It is being said in the news that the army and Bhutto family did not like him as PM.
Apart from this, two options were presented to Nawaz Sharif by the army. Firstly, if he becomes PM then his daughter will not be made the CM of Punjab. Secondly, if he keeps himself out of the PM race, then his daughter will be made the CM of Punjab and his brother Shahbaz will be made the PM. It is believed that he has given up the dream of becoming PM. On the other hand, former PM and PTI leader Imran Khan is in jail and reports say that independent MPs supported by his party will sit in the opposition.
Where is the screw stuck?
No party has got a clear and complete majority in the general elections of Pakistan. This is the reason why no government has been formed in Pakistan yet. In the general elections held in the neighboring country Imran Khan PTI supported candidates led by PTI won maximum 93 seats. Nawaz Sharif led party PML-N was in second place. PML-N won a total of 75 seats. The third largest party was PPP. PPP has got 57 seats.
